One (Money Saving) River from (too) Many Streams - Time to Reduce Streaming Services

Netflix, Prime, Disney+, Now, TNT,... Francesco has lost count of the number of streaming services he has signed up for. Cerys is not happy and is threatening to tie him by his two tails to the table if he doesn't reduce the number of subscription services they are paying for in 2025.
I (Abigail) came round in the middle of their discussion and suggested a way forward. I wanted to save money by reducing streaming services - so I had decided to focus my attention on what I wanted to invest in for my viewing in 2025. First, of all, I was really happy with the content on BBC's iPlayer. As a UK resident who pays their TV licence, the BBC has a lot of free content and includes more than enough drama to satisfy my desires. For the rest, I did a bit of investigating and realised that Prime Video was far more flexible than I had realised and that it was customisable in some fresh and innovative ways. I stayed for a quick brew and a natter. As I left, I told Francesco and Cerys to check out Prime Video Channels as a one-stop place for their streaming needs. It included lots of free content - like the ITV Hub.

Prime Video Channels
In many ways, Francesco and Cerys are an odd couple, but one of their shared loves is comedy . They met at a Jason Manford show in Manchester (and they still love to listen. to the audiobook of it in the car) https://amzn.to/3Dz212y (Affiliate Link)
I found out later that they had taken my suggestion on board. They agreed that BBC iPlayer was great for their drama needs. They now wanted to ensure that their streaming choices gave them the sitcoms that Francesco loved and the edgier stand up comedians that Cerys preferred. They added two channels to their Prime subscription and unsubscribed from everything else. These are the ones they chose.
Paramount+ - Frasier for Francesco
Francesco has always been huge fan of Frasier. Now that there are two series of the new show which stars British comedy legend Nicholas Lyndhurst (Only Fools and Horses, Goodnight Sweetheart), Francesco is keen to have access to this and the other sitcoms available exclusively on Paramount+.

NextUp Comedy - Stand Up for Cerys
One of Cerys's bugbears is the way in which stand up comedians' routines are edited by other streaming services. Comedians on stage have referred to this and, unsurprisngly, that too gets redacted from the version available to the small screen. This is why Cerys is delighted with NextUp Comedy Channel available through Prime. On Next Up, viewers see the whole show.

Overall, Francesco and Cerys brought their streams together into one package, saving over £35 a month.
These mice are having a laugh!
P.S. Two days later, Cerys added the Apple TV Prime Channel too. She heard that a new season of Ted Lasso is coming out!
Love, Abigail
